Panel Tech Systems Limited ("Panel Tech Systems", "we", "us") operates this website at paneltechsystems.co.ke. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the site, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it under the Data Protection Act 2019 of Kenya.

What we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us, plus limited technical data that is collected automatically when any website is visited.

  • Enquiry and quotation details. When you complete a contact or quotation form we collect the name, email address, telephone number and message you enter, together with any project details you choose to include.
  • Correspondence. If you email us or start a WhatsApp conversation from the site, we hold that correspondence so we can respond and keep a record of the enquiry.
  • Technical and usage data. Our analytics provider records information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
  • To supply, deliver, install or commission equipment you order, and to provide after-sales support.
  • To keep records required for accounting, warranty and compliance purposes.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and understand which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies that record an anonymous identifier and how you move through the site; the data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred outside Kenya. We also use a small number of functional cookies to remember preferences such as light or dark display mode.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to browse the site or submit an enquiry.

Sharing

We share personal data only where it is necessary:

  • with our hosting and analytics providers, who process data on our instructions;
  • with delivery, installation or commissioning partners where that is needed to fulfil an order;
  • where we are required to do so by law, regulation or a lawful request from a public authority.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept while they may still be relevant to a live opportunity and then deleted. Records relating to an actual supply, including quotations, invoices and commissioning records, are retained for as long as required for warranty, tax and statutory record-keeping obligations.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and enquiry data is held on access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you have the right to be informed of how your data is used, to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion where there is no continuing lawful basis to keep it, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and trade customers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
