Low Voltage Panels

Design and manufacture of LV distribution panels, MCC, PCC, and control panels to IEC standards.

Expert Low Voltage Panel Manufacturing in Kenya

Panel Tech Systems is a leading manufacturer of low voltage (LV) electrical panels in Kenya, delivering high-performance switchgear and control panel solutions to industrial, commercial, and infrastructure clients across East Africa.

Our LV panels are designed, manufactured, and tested to comply with IEC 61439 international standards, ensuring maximum reliability and safety for your electrical distribution systems.

What We Manufacture

Our comprehensive range of low voltage panels includes:

  • Main Distribution Boards (MDBs) — Central power distribution for buildings and facilities
  • Sub-Distribution Boards (SDBs) — Floor-level or zone power distribution
  • Motor Control Centers (MCCs) — Centralized motor starting and protection
  • Power Factor Correction Panels — Automatic capacitor bank switching
  • Metering Panels — Multi-tenant energy metering solutions
  • Changeover Panels — Mains-to-generator switching systems

Our Manufacturing Process

Every panel goes through a rigorous manufacturing process:

  1. Design & Engineering — Custom single-line diagrams and panel layouts using AutoCAD and EPLAN
  2. Sheet Metal Fabrication — CNC-cut and powder-coated enclosures
  3. Component Assembly — Genuine components from ABB, Schneider, Siemens, and Chint
  4. Wiring & Termination — Colour-coded, labelled wiring with ferrules
  5. Testing & QC — Full type-tested and routine-tested per IEC 61439
  6. Delivery & Commissioning — On-site installation and commissioning support

Industries We Serve

Our LV panel solutions are trusted by clients in commercial buildings, manufacturing plants, hospitals, shopping malls, data centres, schools, and residential estates across Kenya and the wider East Africa region.

Frequently Asked Questions about Low Voltage Panels

A low voltage (LV) panel is a switchgear assembly that distributes and controls electrical power at voltages below 1000 V AC. Panels include main distribution boards, sub-distribution boards, motor control centres, and metering or changeover panels, each housed in a type-tested enclosure that protects the equipment and the people maintaining it.
Every panel we manufacture is verified to IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-2 — the current international standard for power switchgear assemblies, which replaced BS EN 60439 in 2014. We document which verification method (test, calculation, or design rule) was used for each of the 13 design characteristics required by the standard.
A Power Control Centre (PCC) distributes power to multiple downstream loads through busbars and feeder breakers. A Motor Control Centre (MCC) is a specialised PCC that includes motor starters — DOL, soft starter, or VFD — for each connected motor. Use a PCC for general distribution, an MCC where multiple motors need centralised starting and protection.
Standard distribution panels ship in 2–3 weeks from order confirmation. Custom MCC and PLC-integrated panels typically take 4–8 weeks depending on complexity and component lead times. We provide a firm schedule with every quotation and an interim factory acceptance test before delivery.
Yes — we deliver and commission panels across Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Ethiopia regularly. Export documentation, EAC certificate of origin, and customs clearance support are included on cross-border projects.
