Electrical Solutions for Manufacturing & Industrial
LV panels, MCCs, VFD-integrated drive panels, and PLC automation for factories across Kenya. Type-tested IEC 61439 switchgear engineered for industrial duty.
Electrical Infrastructure for Manufacturing Plants in Kenya
Manufacturing plants demand switchgear that survives. Vibration, heat, dust, harmonic-rich VFD loads, frequent motor starts, and 24/7 process continuity all stress the electrical system in ways office buildings never see. Panel Tech Systems engineers low-voltage panels, motor control centres, drive panels, and PLC automation cabinets specifically for industrial duty across food and beverage, packaging, pharmaceuticals, mining, and bulk chemical facilities.
Switchgear Built for Industrial Duty
- Power Control Centres (PCCs) — Main switchboards from 630 A to 6300 A, type-tested to IEC 61439-2, with Form 4 internal segregation for plant areas where simultaneous maintenance is required
- Motor Control Centres (MCCs) — DOL, soft starter, and VFD starter cubicles in withdrawable or fixed-pattern construction, with integrated overload, earth fault, and bus communication
- VFD drive panels — From 0.75 kW pump and fan drives to 500 kW process drives, including input line reactors, EMC filters, and dV/dt output filters for long motor cables
- PLC automation cabinets — Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, and Mitsubishi controllers with redundant I/O, distributed remote modules, and SCADA integration
- Synchronising generator panels — Multi-genset paralleling with automatic load sharing for plants where grid feed is unreliable
Designed for Continuous Production
Process plants cannot afford unscheduled outages. Our standard industrial design choices reflect that:
- Form 4 segregation on PCCs and MCCs so individual feeders can be isolated without de-energising the busbar
- Selectivity studies at quotation stage to ensure downstream faults don't trip upstream breakers
- Redundant control supplies on PLC and instrumentation panels, with UPS bridging for orderly shutdown
- IP54 or IP65 enclosures standard, with stainless steel and special coatings available for corrosive environments
- Forced ventilation or air-conditioned cabinets for high-VFD loads in hot ambients
Compliance and Documentation
Every industrial panel ships with the full verification matrix required by IEC 61439, the as-built electrical drawings, the I/O list, the control philosophy, the PLC source code (where applicable), and a Factory Acceptance Test report. KEBS and EPRA compliance is handled as part of the project deliverables.
Industries Within Manufacturing
We deliver panels to food and beverage plants, pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing, packaging lines, cement and aggregate operations, steel rolling, edible-oil processing, textiles, plastics, and bulk chemical storage across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
